About My Data+ Experience

“One of the most valuable things I gained from the Data+ program was the ability to learn an entirely new language on my own and figure out how use that knowledge in a real-world setting. I learned how to work independently and learn a topic on my own. Furthermore, it was a chance for me to work on a larger project, while previously my coding experience had only come from classwork.

Data+ gave me more insight into the area of data science research because I previously had little idea of what that actually entailed. My project was able to show me one aspect of research, and I was also able to learn a lot by hearing about projects from other groups and through the presentations. The presentations from companies and professionals who were in this field were also really helpful in helping me understand this field.”
