Helen Egger MD, a child psychiatrist and epidemiologist, is Chief of the Division of Child and Family Mental Health and Developmental Neuroscience, Vice-Chair for Integrated Pediatric Mental Health and Director of the Duke Early Childhood Research Program in the Center for Developmental Epidemiology in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center. She is a tenured Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics. With Dr. Guillermo Sapiro, she leads the Duke Information and Child Mental Health Initiative within the Information Initiative at Duke (iiD). A graduate of Yale College and Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Egger completed her adult and child psychiatric training and post-doctoral research training at Duke and has been a member of the faculty for over a decade.
