Master in Interdisciplinary Data Science (MIDS)

MIDS logoThe Duke University Master in Interdisciplinary Data Science (MIDS) is home for creative problem solvers who want to use data strategically to advance society. MIDS borrows from technical tools from a variety of quantitative disciplines like computer science and statistics, and connects them to inquiry in nearly all disciplines, including natural sciences, social sciences and humanities.

Requests for Class Proposals

The Duke Mathematics Department and the Rhodes Information Initiative at Duke (iiD) request proposals for classes in Mathematics and the Mathematical Sciences to be team taught by two faculty members, one from Mathematics and one from a second department.

We welcome proposals for all levels and types of classes and particularly encourage initiatives that add a new dimension to the undergraduate curriculum.

Funds will be available to compensate the partner department for teaching replacement. Learn more about this opportunity (PDF).
