A team of student researchers will collaborate with the Southeast Regional Coalition for University-Assisted Community Schools (SRCUACS) and the North Carolina Community Schools Coalition (NCCSC) to examine how statewide policies have impacted funding for public schools throughout history. The team will create a dashboard to illustrate the correlation between per-pupil funding and enrollment and retention rates across NC public school districts. The dashboard will feature case studies of districts receiving increased funding through the North Carolina Community Schools Coalition and explore whether—and how—this investment contributes to improved outcomes for students and communities.
