Assessing and accelerating data driven career programs for young Black men in Durham

A team of students will analyze, marshal, and visualize organizational data from
Durham Success Summit (DSS) (an innovative, data-driven non-profit organization
promoting the careers of young Black men), as well as identify, research, and
collate publicly sourced data relevant to young Black men’s professional
experiences. These efforts will help DSS further refine their professional development
programs based on both the feedback from Scholars and on the wider cultural,
social, and economic realities they face as young Black men. Furthermore, it will
help DSS to build on their advocacy work based on a comprehensive needs
assessment driven by the most up-to-date data and research.
