Jan 18, 2017

DataPlus 2017

On January 17, 2017, the Information Initiative at Duke held their annual Data+ Information Fair to showcase the program’s offerings of summer 2017 Data Projects, and to encourage students to apply to the program.

Representatives from each of the 24 projects were available to answer student questions and explain what they hoped to achieve during the 10-week summer research program that starts on May 22.

Students work in small teams on various interdisciplinary data projects ranging from medical, public policy, smart-phone apps for art restoration and mobile health technologies, and quantifying public policy data in a number of areas.

Applications for Data+ 2017 are open until February 20. For more information on all of the current Data+ projects and to apply to Data+, please visit https://www.mathprograms.org/db/programs/525, or contact Paul Bendich (bendich@math.duke.edu) or Ashlee Valente (Ashlee.valente@duke.edu).
